  2. Great news on a successful op. And judging by your post-op photo, it's been more than analgesics they've been giving you.

  3. Hi Dave,
I have been watching your progress with interest as there are a lot of parallels between us. I was diagnosed with Crohn's about 8 years ago in the Western General. I am now reaching the end of the meds ladder so my consultant is slowly pushing me in the direction of surgery: the same procedure as yourself minus the emergency bit. I hope. Anyway I wanted to wish you a speedy recovery and to thank you for your blog as it helps me come to terms with some of the decisions I may have to make in the near future.

    Best of luck.

    1. Hi Graham,

I wish you well with whatever you choose to try next for your crohns. I found a major tipping point when I was able to start thinking about surgery as a new beginning rather than being at the end of the road.

      Dave.

    2. I am slowly getting my head round the surgical option but right now I am dealing with another meds change and the inevitable steroids. Great news that you are heading home. Happy healing!

    3. Graham, if there's anything else I can help with please feel free to contact me through the 'Contact Dave' page providing your email address (securely) through the form. It would be good to chat more about how things are going in a less public space than this page.

Thinking about you and wishing you well for a continued recovery. Your name of course came up often during Graham's 50th birthday celebrations at the weekend and we wished you could have been there. Take care. Pauline

    1. You are very kind Pauline, thanks so much for your support. I just wish Graham was a week younger because I think by this weekend I am about fit for getting out into the real world instead of moping around my house all day! I gather the treats Andrew had planned went down very well. Hope to see you soon.
